Ida Mae Dean was born November 26, 1927 in Holly Grove, AR to the union of George and Emma Miller. She received her education while living in Arkansas.
Ida received Christ as her personal Savior a an early age while living in Arkansas. She later joined the Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Smotherson.
It was after Ida moved to Saint Louis, Missouri that she met and was united in Holy Matimony to Elbert L. Dean. She was employed with Dicking and Company until she retired. She latered worked as a clerk at Metropolitian Saint Louis Psychiatric Center until her heath began to fail.
Ida went home to rest in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father December 16, 2009.
Ida was preceded in death by: her parents, one daughter, one grandson, one granddaughter and her husband. She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Gloria Jackson of Buffalo, MN; two sons, Roosevelt and Elbert, Jr; six grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren, a special bestfriend Jewel Washington, a special “daughter” Dorothy LeJune and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Ronald L. Jones Funeral Chapels in St. Louis, Missouri.
Visitation will be held from 9AM-11AM.
Interment: Wednesday, December 23, 2009 immedately following at Jefferson Baracks National Cemetery, Lemay, MO.
