Hoglund Klein, Holly E. age 44, of Maple Grove, tragically and unexpectedly passed away on March 3, 2015.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Stuart & Arleen Hoglund and Bernard & Muriel Kramer.

Holly was loved and will be dearly missed by husband Tom; children Gabriel, Devin & Elle; parents Wayne & Lisa Hoglund; siblings Heath (Mercedes) Hoglund, Rachel (Joe) Klein and Monique (Ryan) Bergan; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Raised with the strong values of Family and Catholic tradition, instilled by Wayne and Lisa Hoglund, Holly stayed true to her foundations. She graduated in 1989 as the Salutatorian from Monticello High School, and went on to graduate with honors from the University of Saint Thomas, with a Masters’ Degree in International Management. After her graduation from college, she met the love of her life and married Tom Klein and began her beautiful family: Gabe her oldest son, Devin the second child and Elle the baby, and finally a girl. Holly was dedicated to her family, her church and to the ideals of Catholic education. Being the children’s number one fan, she spent countless hours watching her son’s football and basketball games, band concerts and plays, as well as her daughter’s basketball games. She was even the troop leader for Elle’s Girl Scout troop. She was an active member within the Saint Michael Catholic Church, being a leader within their CRHP (Christ Renews His Parish) program and providing funeral luncheon foods frequently. After working for several years as an operations manager for the Emerging Markets Division of Cargill, Inc., in 1999, she went back home to work in her family’s business, Hoglund Bus and Truck Co. Founded by her grandfather, Stuart, in 1947, Holly became the third-generation family owner, taking over from her parents, Wayne and Lisa. As President and Owner, Holly led an era of expansion and growth for the Hoglund Companies. She grew their sales territory in Minnesota and Iowa, taking on several new product lines, and expanded the Commercial Bus Sales into Wisconsin as well. She opened satellite service locations in Roseville and Lakeville. In 2007 she helped found a new company, Hoglund Body and Equipment, opening a full-service bus and truck body shop. During her 15 years with the company, Holly’s leadership has overseen growth from a local bus dealer with 40 employees to a regional leader in the transportation industry approaching nearly 90 employees. Holly’s crowning achievement was overseeing Hoglund’s awarding of 2013 National Dealer of the Year for IC/Navistar. Holly always demanded the best from herself and fully immersed herself in the business of transportation. She founded WIT (Women in Transportation), and was a member of these organizations: WBENC – Women’s Business Enterprise National Council ATD/NADA 20-group IC bus and International Truck Axalta 20-group body shop WPO (Women President’s Organization) IC Bus Dealer Advisory Board IC Bus Parts Focus Group (co-chair) NFIB Member MSBOA Executive Dealer Leadership Program She was a true leader in the growth of women’s involvement in the transportation industry, as well as being dedicated to her employees. Even as busy as her career kept her, she was an ever-present supporter of her family and a strong proponent of Catholic education. Her time and talents will be missed. Especially by those at Saint Michael Catholic School, Ave Maria Catholic School, and Saint Thomas Academy. She was loved, beloved and her legacy will live on in her deeds and contributions.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Michael Catholic School, Ava Maria Catholic School and St. Thomas Academy.

Visitation for Holly will be Friday, March 6 from 4-8 p.m. at the St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 7 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the mass all at St. Michael Catholic Church, 11300 Frankfort Parkway, NE, St. Michael, MN.

    This obituary is beautiful and describes Holly so well. Holly was an incredible woman who always held tight to her strong family values. I have enjoyed many talks with her over the years and her family was the most important thing to her and she did it amazingly. Holly, I will miss your friendship, our talks at scrapbook camp and your friendly smiles. Rest in peace my dear friend. Tom, Gabe, Devon and Elle, there are no words to ease your pain. Your Mom loved you more than anything in this world. We are so sorry for your unimaginable loss. Sending you all a big hug.

    Dear Tom & family;
    My heartfelt sorrow and sympathy go out to all of you. I’m so glad I had the chance to get to know Holly and all of you over the past six years.
    She was an amazing woman and you are a great family… take comfort knowing that she was carried home to our Father in the sacred hands of our dear Lord and SAVIOR where she will see and be with our Father and all his angels forever. May God’s grace shower you from this moment forward and the peace of Christ be with you always.

    Tom and family; Our prayers are with all of you. May the souls of the faithful departed through the Mercy of God rest in peace. My son, Dylan Longley, lists you as his favorite teacher from STA 11′. I grew up in Monticello and know the Hoglund families, and would never forget Dylan’s favorite teachers name as I married a Klein. You all will be heavily in our prayers now and in the coming weeks. May eternal rest grant her O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace!!!

    I am so sorry to hear about the death of your wife and mother. She left many beautiful memories and examples for all of you to remember. Holly’s love of life and God impels me to share some beautiful scriptures that will help you through the coming months. Psalm 34:18; John 5:28-29; Psalm 37:10-11,29. I pray these will help heal your hearts.
