Herbert G. Lucht, age 96, of Corcoran passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012
at Lake Ridge Care Center in Buffalo.

He was born on January 31, 1916 in Corcoran the son of Henry E. & Annie Stieg Lucht.

Herbert was baptized on February 14, 1916. He also was instructed in the Lutheran catechism and confirmed in the Christian faith on May 12, 1929 by Pastor Klemp at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Corcoran. His confirmation memory verse was Matthew 24: 8

He honorably served his Country in The United States Army.

Herbert engaged in dairy farming for many years in Corcoran.

He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards especially euchre.

Herbert was a life long and curently the oldest member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Maple Grove.

Survived by sisters: Lorraine Wagner of Buffalo, Mabel Peters of Citrus Heights, California and Caroline Lucht of Buffalo; four nieces and a nephew; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, brothers: Otto Lucht & Roland W. Lucht, a niece and by a nephew.

Funeral services for Herbert Lucht will be held on Friday, March 16th at 11:30 A.M. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Maple Grove. Pastor Matthew Johnson will officiate.

Interment St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Friday morning, March 16th at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.

The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo is serving the family.
