Allen, Helen Lucille
of South Haven, passed away at the age of 92 on March 12, 2021 at home with her family by her side. Helen was born in Ortonville, on Feb. 23, 1929. Helen was predeceased by parents, Roy and Myrtle Hoffbeck of Big Stone City; sisters, Dorothy Philomene Hoffbeck of Big Stone City and Patricia Ann Johnson of Naples, FL. Survived by children, Mike (Beth) Allen of Clear Lake, Kathi Allen of Buffalo, Patrick (Sheila) Allen of Monticello, and Mary Allen of South Haven; brothers, Loren John (Helen) Hoffbeck of Alpharetta, GA, Bill Hoffbeck of Palatine, IL, and Bob Hoffbeck of Minot, ND; sister, Barbara Hoffbeck Scoblic of New York, NY; grandchildren, Elicia Allen of Denver, CO; Zachary Allen and Parker Allen of St. Cloud; and Michaela Rae Allen of Monticello; many nieces and nephews; and innumerable friends. A memorial service for friends will be held, as COVID restrictions permit. Time and location to be announced. To commemorate Helen’s passing, the Guardian Angels will conduct a “butterfly release” this summer, and a video will be made available. Condolence cards may be sent to Barbara Scoblic at P.O.
