Helen L. Ryan age 90, of Buffalo, died on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Lake Ridge Oasis in Buffalo.

She was born on January 31, 1924 in Minneapolis, the daughter of Archie and Marion MyCue Peterson.

On May 1, 1943 Helen Peterson and Joseph Ryan were united in holy marriage at the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis.

Helen was employed at Honeywell for 35 years.

Helen enjoyed camping, playing cards, sewing, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Timothy L. (Barbara) Ryan of St. Paul, Patrick J. (Rebecca) Ryan of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Colleen Mary (Randy) Ernesti of Buffalo; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and by other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ryan; parents; and sister, Loretta Mueller.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 31 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo with Father Nathaniel Meyers as the celebrant. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo is serving the family.
