Harold “Hal” Hultgren of Monticello passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Park View Care Center in Buffalo from complications of Alzheimers and Parkinsons.

Harold was born in Buffalo on March 11, 1932 to Edwin and Esther (Carlson) Hultgren.

On May 24, 1952, Harold Hultgren and Dorothy Stackard of Waverly were joined in marriage.

They lived in south Minneapolis during thirty eight years of employment at Honeywell.

Af ter his retirement, he worked at Silver Springs and Monticello Country Club golf courses.

Harold was an active member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Monticello.

Survived by his wife of sixty two years: Dorothy; daughter: Bonnie (Dave) Gearou of Two Harbors; a son: Gordy (Terri) Hultgren of Two Harbors and a daughter: Carol (Ron) Eastbourne of Corcoran; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death his parents, a sister and her husband.

A special thanks from the family to all of Harold’s caregivers. Dr. Deutsch, Hospice and everyone at The Park View Care Center in Buffalo.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 29th, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Monticello. Pastor Darren Green will officiate.

Organist for the funeral service will be Sue Ann Perreault and the soloists will be Naomi Green and Rodney Kisner.

Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Monticello.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 29th one hour prior to services at the church.

Casket Bearers will be Bill Ruddle, Wayne Block, Dan Bitzer, Paul Klein, Scott Christianson and Rodney Kisner.

    Hello Dorothy
    My sincere condolences , so sorry to hear of Hals passing. We’ve had some good times with the Bowling League (the 4 of us as THE 4 H’S) and the times with the card club. It has been a long time.
