Visitation Information

Harlan David Mueller, age 72, of Buffalo, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, Minnesota.

Harlan David Mueller was born April 18, 1938 in Plato, Minnesota to Emil and Erna (Debner) Mueller. He grew up near Watertown, Minnesota and attended St. Peter’s Parochial School in Watertown. Harlan was united in marriage to Joan Shaw on May 23, 1959 in Salem, Missouri and five children were born to this union. The couple settled in rural Watertown and seven years later moved to New Germany in Hollywood Township. Harlan worked for Mound School District for 25 years. After retiring from the Mound School District, Harlan and Joan purchased a resort near Emily, Minnesota and operated it for several years. After selling the resort they retired to Buffalo. Harlan enjoyed hunting , fishing, playing cards, dancing and wood working. He was a member of the Buffalo American Legion and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Buffalo.

He is survived by his wife Joan of Buffalo, children, Tina (Gary) Tesch of Foley, MN, Tony Mueller of Redlands, CA, Tammy (Tom) Dvorak of Norwood Young America, and Tracy (Sam) Madsen of Buffalo, MN, eight grandchildren, David (Val), Preston (Sara), Elizabeth (Aaron), Cagney (Mike), Sara (Jamie), Payton, Cole, and Ellie four great grandchildren, Tyson, Danika, Lexy and Azalea. He is also survived by siblings, Mathilda Heckman, Bernett Jopp, and Charles Mueller.

Harlan was preceded in death by his parents Emil and Erna Mueller, son Timmy, and brother Wilmar.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 1:00 PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Buffalo with Rev. Christian Bode officiant. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:30 AM until time of service at 1:00 pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Interment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Watertown, Minnesota following a luncheon at the church.

Casket bearers are David Tesch, Preston Dvorak, Payton Dvorak, Aaron Habeck, Mike Rosneau, and Jamie Burton. Honorary Casket bearer is Cole Madsen.

The Peterson Chapel of Buffalo assisted the family with arrangements.
