Gregory Richard Dickerman, age 64, was lifted to heaven in the loving arms of God on October 31, 2016. Gregory “Greg” was born on November 5, 1951 in Yakima, Washington to Richard and Virginia Dickerman.

Greg taught horticulture at the Wright Technical Center for 31 years. He has such a gift in working with his students and is loved by each one of them. He so much cherishes the love and ambition that they return. Bless him in heaven for all of that. Bless each of his students, too. He touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed and remembered forever.

Greg lived a faith filled life. He was, and is, faithful to our God and his holy obligations day by day. He started each day with his juice and the daily reading in the Living Faith periodical…we should all do something like that. Greg is a great camper. He so enjoys the riches of God’s nature…from the beauty of our Minnesota areas to the beauty of the mountains and islands of Washington state…not to mention the wonder of pure nature in beloved Costa Rica. In his last hours, he heard a loon calling over the lake outside our window and he opened his eyes to take in the sound of nature. Yes, he is checking off the national parks and loving it! His yard is a reflection of what he loves. Greg has peace. Greg has love. Most of all, Greg has love.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 5, 2016 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo with Father Nathaniel Meyers and Father David Hennen as Concelebrants. Burial will be with family following the Mass at St. Mark’s Cemetery in Buffalo. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM and continue after Mass at a luncheon in honor of Greg.

Greg is preceded in death by his loving mother; father; and older brother, John. He is survived by his faithful, loving wife, Sandra; his beloved siblings, Joyce (John) of Mankato MN, Teresa (Doug) of Watertown MN, Bob (Anne) of Albert Lea MN, Ginny (Eben) of Plymouth MN, Betsy (Tom) of St. Louis Park MN, Rich (Joyce) of Cody WY and Mike (Katie) of Delano MN; children, Laura (Rik) and Christopher; grandchildren, Jared, Elizabeth, Luke, Abbagail, and Ariana; many nieces and nephews and friends who are as close as family. So truly loved by all.

In lieu of flowers, Greg asks memorials be to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Building Preservation or to St. Francis Xavier Knights of Columbus (Greg is a member) in order to continue their good works.

Mercy, peace and blessings on us each and every one. A world of gratitude to the Elim Care and Guardian Angels Hospice Team.

Serving the family is The Peterson Chapel of Buffalo. 763-682-1363.

Greg and I always had a great time talking about agriculture and crops. We even shared an office building for a couple years. Was a great guy to be friends with so I will miss that relationship.
