Grace Margaret Graham, age 85, of Waverly passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Lake Ridge Care Center.
She was born in Franklin Township, Wright County on May 3, 1923 the daughter of John and Mathilda Doefler Theisen.
On July 10, 1947, Grace M. Theisen and Edward J. Graham were joined in holy marriage at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Delano. God blessed their marriage with five children.
Grace and Ed engaged in farming in Marysville Township, Wright County for many years. She also was formerly employed at Jerry’s Café in Waverly, Tonka Toys in Mound and at The Green Giant Plant in Winsted.
Grace enjoyed going to Jack Pot Junction, polkas, waltzes, animals and life on the farm.
She was a faithful member of The Church of St. Mary in Waverly.
Survived by children: William J. “Bill” Graham of Waverly, John (Debra) Graham of Chaska, Patrick (Joan) Graham of Waverly, David (Bonnie) Graham of Delano and Elizabeth “Liz” (Rick) Etzel of Waverly; twelve grandchildren & sixteen great grandchildren; sisters: Helen Smith of New Ulm and Ruth Morin of Maple Lake; sisters-in-law, many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband: Edward J. Graham, her parents, two brothers: Raymond and Ervin, three sisters: Marie Theisen, Elaine Pool and Dorothy Carlson and by a daughter-in-law: Kathleen Graham.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Grace Graham will be held on Thursday, February 26th at 10:30 A.M. at The Church of St. Mary in Waverly. Father Timothy Cloutier will be the Celebrant.
A visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday, February 25th from 4-8 P.M. A Prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Further visitation at the Church on Thursday morning, February 26th, one hour prior to Mass.
Casket Bearers will be Ed, Ashley, Steve, Justin, Brian and Jamie Graham.
