Gordon James Middagh, age 87 of Buffalo, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017. He was born May 12, 1929, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Morgan and Clara (Elsenpeter) Middagh. At the age of 8, the family moved to Buffalo, where he resided for the rest of his life.

On June 16, 1962, Gordon Middagh and Janet Endres were united in Holy matrimony at St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo by Father Anthony Muskala.

Gordon spent the majority of his career as an over-the-road truck driver and 8 years as a truck driving instructor at the Dakota County Vo-Tech School. After retirement, he continued to drive, delivering parts for Ryan Automotive in Buffalo. He enjoyed playing cards, camping, fishing, and time spent with his family.

Gordon is preceded in death by his parents, Morgan and Clara Middagh. He is survived by his wife, Janet Middagh of Buffalo; children, Linda (Richard) Sturges of Silver Lake, Jeanette Stoddard of Monticello, Barbara (Gregory) Taack of Blaine, and Gerald (Lisa) Middagh of Buffalo; grandchildren, Matthew (Robin) Stoddard, Nicholas (Brittney) Stoddard, Jacob (Genevieve) Middagh, and Thomas (Lindsay) Middagh; great-grandchildren, Elliot, Madi, Charlie, Malachi, Henley and Mckinley; and other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo with Father Nathaniel Meyers as celebrant. Interment at St. Francis Cemetery in Buffalo.

Urn bearers are Jacob Middagh and Thomas Middagh.
