Steve, Tracy & Heather, I know you are going through a terrific amount of pain and anger. God is there for you just reach out and ask him to help you through the next several months. God has a way of being there for you. We will never forget Gordy and his memory will live in all of us forever. I remember sitting by the fire holding Gordy. All I had to do was rub his arm and he would fall fast to sleep. Tracy would take him in the house and put him to bed. It was something we did almost every night during the summer. It was the best of times sitting around the fire with your family. I loved holding the kids and putting them to sleep. My God be with you in your time of need.

This is still not real to me although another part of me is realistic that it is true. As Gordys big brother I had many conversations with him, mostly big brother stuff trying to explain and help him through struggles both big and small. Having a son who is 16 (Gordys nephew Kyle) I understand things kids are going through these days. Just a couple days before he died Gordy posted so something about school and teachers and of course me being his big brother, I had to chime in. Gordys response to me… “I just posted that to see what you say Shawn. I love you.” Well Gordy I love you too and I’m glad you knew I was always looking out for you. It’s going to be hard for all of us now that you’re gone. I can only hope that your passing will make another young kid dealing with stress, depression and sadness think twice and remember there are many people that love them just as you were loved. Love you lil Bro. 😥 ❤️

I am so saddened by this notice. I led his program group at the Middle school and saw him around the program events. Gordy will be missed and remembered. My heart goes out to the family members and in special way to Heather.

I will miss having Gordy at our home to spend time with Calvin and Charlie. For years Gordy seamed like part of our family. He was very friendly and polite and not afraid to visit with adults. We enjoyed many interesting conversations. I will even miss his leaving things behind. He often forgot a jacket or a pair of glasses or something and would soon be back to retrieve it. I am so sorry he had to pass on at such a young and tender age.
