Gordon Bernard “Gordy” Nieman
Age 78,of Buffalo passed away unexpectedly on Sunday , May 2nd, 2010 at his home in Buffalo.
Gordon was born on May 10th, 1931 in St. Cloud , MN the son of Harry Irma (Fietsam) Nieman.
Gordon was united in marriage to LaVerne Barthel on May 11th, 1955 in St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Michael, MN.
Gordy is survived by his loving family: wife LaVerne. Son Jon (Melissa Brabec) Nieman of Hanover, MN. Daughter JoAnne Nieman of Buffalo, MN.
Granddaughter Mahlika Nieman
Siblings: Eileen (Jack) Register of Menominee, WI, Bernard (Rita) Nieman of Delano, MN, Mary (Mel) Friendt of Lake Elmo, MN, Henry Nieman of Buffalo, MN, George Nieman of Plymouth, MN, Dennis (Caroline) Nieman Lyndale, MN.
Brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Wallace (Renee) Barthel of St. Michael, MN, Janet Berning, of Albertville, MN, Mildred (Wilber) Aydt of Chanhassen, MN.
Nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: daughter-in-law Linda Ann Nieman, parents Harry and Irma, Brother-in-law Donald Berning.
Casket Bearers are Tony Nieman, Kevin Nieman, Jim Nieman, Gordy Berning, LeRoy Berning, and Peter Barthel.
Mass of Christian Burial held Thursday, May 6th, 2010 at 11 AM, St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo, MN
Visitation held on Wednesday from 4-8 on Wednesday at the Peterson chapel in Buffalo and one hour prior to the Mass at the Church.
Prayer Service held at 7 PM on Wednesday.
Interment is at the St. Francis Cemetery in Buffalo, MN.
