Gloria Wanda Stevens, age 89 of Buffalo, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the Buffalo Hospital.
She was born on November 27, 1927 in Princeton, MN the daughter of Walter and Elsie (Rettke) Kitzman.
On January 28, 1943 Gloria was united in marriage to Jack C. Stevens in St. Cloud, MN.
Gloria and Jack engaged in farming in Buffalo Township for many years. She also worked seven years for the Overall Factory and International Paper for 24 years.
For enjoyment Gloria enjoyed bingo, poker, fishing, camping and dancing with her husband Jack almost every weekend. Gloria loved to ride her favorite snowmobile “Nellie Belle” and always seemed to be the one leading the pack. She also hosted many card games over the years, but had the most fun playing “Pay Me” with her family. The grandchildren actually renamed the game “Pay Grandma”, because she always seemed to win.
Gloria is survived by daughter, Dixie (DuWayne “Champ”) DeMarais; daughter-in-laws, Jan Stevens and Linda (Daniel) DeWitte; grandchildren, Todd (Sandra) DeMarais, Kerry Lynn (Troy) Gille, Brett (Kristi) DeMarais, Reed (Kari) DeMarais, Bradley (Bobbi VanMuyden) Stevens, Michael (Michele) Stevens, Corey (Patti) Stevens and Jamie (Krista) Stevens; 23 great grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; 8 step great great grandchildren; sister Lorna Begin; also many other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Walter & Elsie Kitzman; husband Jack C. Stevens; sons, Burley Stevens and Craig “Tex” Stevens; grandson, Ryan DeWitte; great grandson, Daniel DeMarais; sisters, Arvilla Adams, Helen Donovan and Olive Hork.
Funeral services for Gloria will be held Thursday, January 12 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service all at Zion Lutheran Church, 1200 State Hwy 25, Buffalo, MN. Pastor Jill Davis was the officiant.
Casket bearers will be Gloria’s grandchildren Todd DeMarais, Kerry Lynn Gille, Brett DeMarais, Reed DeMarais, Bradley Stevens, Michael Stevens, Corey Stevens and Jamie Stevens.
Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Buffalo.
Luncheon to follow at the American Legion Post #270 in Buffalo.
