Glenna Dell (Brady) Jandt, age 70, of Monticello, MN passed away Tuesday May 18th, 2010, at home with Pam Jones at her side.
Glenna was born in Santa Rosa, CA on January 5th, 1940, the daughter of Raymond David and Elva Dell (Mankins) Brady. Glenna graduated from Santa Rosa High School in California.
On July 15th, 1956 Glenna was united in marriage to Orville Rex Von Jandt in Santa Rosa, CA. Glenna and Orville homesteaded in Homer, AK and later moved to Burns Lake, B.C. Canada, to pursue ranching.
Glenna raised her family in Beach, ND. She was an avid reader of books, loved crafting, knitting and crocheting. She was an active member of Community of Christ Church all of her life. She also was a member of Bonnieview Homemakers in Beach, ND and a member of the Monticello – Big Lake Hospital Auxiliary.
Glenna loved to sing and share her talent for solos at church funerals and weddings.
Glenna has fought Rheumatoid Arthritis for the past 40 years; she no longer has any discomfort.
Glenna is survived by her loving family: daughter, Vonda (Mike) Rising of Monticello, MN, twin sons, Mark (Sheila) Jandt of Pierre, SD and Clark (Sandra) Jandt of Monticello, MN, grandchildren, Justine Rockey of Anchorage, AK, Sara Jandt of Denver, CO, Michaela Rising of Monticello, MN, Amy Jandt of Monticello, MN, Samantha Jandt of Monticello, MN, Carly Jandt of Pierre, SD, Amanda Jandt of Pierre, SD, Adam Rising of Monticello, MN, great-grandson Jackson Rockey, brother Elmon (Joan) Brady of Pleasanton, CA.
Glenna is preceded in death by her husband and life-mate, Orville, and her parents Raymond and Elva Brady.
Casket Bearers are Adam Rising, Andrew Rockey, Adrian Hansen, Robin Jandt, Tory Jandt and Steve Everly.
Christian Burial Service will be held Saturday May 22nd, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. at the Community of Christ Church in Minneapolis, MN.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the CHURCH.
Interment is at the St. Henry’s Catholic Cemetery in Monticello, MN following fellowship at the Church.
