Glenna Esther Blake, age 87, of Buffalo, MN, formerly of Albertville, MN, passed away Friday September 3, 2010, at the Parkview Care Center in Buffalo.

Glenna Blake was born July 14, 1923, in Maple Plain, MN, the daughter of Otto and Louise (Lumbrecht) Ketcher. As a small child the family moved to Annandale where Glenna attended schools.

On January 27, 1943, Glenna was united in marriage to Vernon Blake at St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael, MN. The couple lived in Buffalo a few years before settling in Albertville in 1953. For the past three years Glenna has been a resident of Parkview Care Center in Buffalo.

She enjoyed gardening, flowers, old time polka music, and cane pole fishing. She really enjoyed spending time with her pet kitten “White Paws.”

Glenna is survived by her children: Richard Blake of Isanti, MN; Larry (Bonnie) Blake of Buffalo; Delores (Blake) Borsched of Buffalo; Alan (Lois) Blake of Monticello, MN; Jean (Rodney) Hiller of Monticello; Carol (Erv) Albrecht of Cokato, MN; and Steven (Sandy) Blake of Monticello. She us also survived by 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Louise Ketcher, husband Vernon Matthew Blake on September 7, 1965, brother Howard, step-brother Wilbert and son Brian.

Funeral services were held Friday September 10, 2010, at 2:00 pm at The Peterson Chapel in St. Michael-Albertville. Visitation was one hour prior to services. Burial was in St. Albert Catholic Cemetery in Albertville.
