Glenn Michael Kiesner, age 54, of St. Michael, passed away Monday, December 19, 2011 at North Memorial Hospital.
He was born February 24, 1957 in Minneapolis the son of Eugene and Helen (Abelgaard) Kiesner.
Glenn was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hanover.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 32 years, Jane (Wefel) Kiesner; daughters: Jennifer Gray and Katie (Lucas) Erickson; grandchildren: Arthur Gray, Emma, Lucas Jr. and Christian Erickson; brothers: Jerry (Sheri) Kiesner and Jon (Nancy) Kiesner; mother-in-law: Bernice Wefel; brothers and sisters-in-law: Gary (Mary) Wefel, Greg (Sue) Wefel and Mike (Sharon) Wefel. Also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Max Wefel.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00am Friday, December 23, 2011 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hanover with Pastor Gordon Estenson presiding. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4-8pm at the Peterson Chapel of St. Michael-Albertville. Additional visitation will be held Friday morning at the church one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend their sincere “thank you” to the paramedics, North Memorial ER, Medical ICU, Hospice, and Glenn’s longtime physician, Dr. Jerome Merkel, for their kind and compassionate care. They would also like to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to Pastor Gordon Estenson and Chaplain Scott Hartley for all of their prayers and spiritual support.

My heartfelt condolences go out to you. You are all very special people and I am truly saddened by your loss. It is especially difficult to lose a loved one at such a young age, but feel comfort in knowing that Glenn is at peace now in Heaven and is watching over you.
