Gladys H. Gilbert, age 97, was born July 25, 1910, the daughter of Charles and Cecelia Gilbert. She passed away May 4, 2008.

Gladys lived her entire life in Buffalo, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church where she was a life long member, taking part in many church activities. Gladys was a teacher for forty-four years. She began her career at The Benson Country School in Buffalo and ended with twenty-four years in Wayzata Schools. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Lloyd, Marvin and Arnold, sisters: Myrtle and Irene and her close friend Inez Thorsen. Left to mourn are her niece: Gwendolyn Lander (Thomas) and children: Grant & Gretchen; nephew: Ron Benson (Deanna); nephew: Kent Peterson; nephew: John Gilbert (Rhonda) and children: Kristi & Michael; niece: Mary Mattsen (Ken) and daughter: Annie; niece: Peg Kibira (Onesmo) and children Grace, Selena and Eddie; niece Nancy Ostrom (Charles) and children Megan and Kathryn.

Funeral services for Gladys Gilbert will be held on Friday, May 9th at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo. Pastor Becky Sogge will officiate and interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation at the funeral home Thursday, May 8th 5-8 P.M. Prayer service 7:30 P.M.

Further visitation at the church on Friday morning, May 9th one hour prior to services.

Casket Bearers will be Ronald Benson, Thomas Lander, Grant Lander, Paul Minkler, Brian Minkler and Kent Peterson.
