Visitation Information
Gilbert Raymond Patnode, age 82, of Corcoran, MN, passed away on Tuesday, July 20th, 2010, at North Ridge Care Center in New Hope, MN.
He was born on December 21, 1927, in Corcoran, the son of Zepherin and Catherine May Patnode.
On May 23, 1951, Gilbert R. Patnode and Ruth S. Phillips were joined in holy marriage in North Minneapolis, MN. God blessed their marriage with four children.
Gilbert engaged in dairy farming for many years on the family homestead.
He enjoyed dairy, road trips, looking at crops and going to auctions.
Gilbert was a faithful member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Corcoran, where he served forty years as an usher and was a member of the Men’s Club.
Survived by loving wife of fifty nine years: Ruth; children: Beverly (Ken) Klein; Barbara Frappier; Duane (Terri) Patnode; and Donald (Margaret) Patnode; seven grandchildren: Jeffrey Klein, Jennifer Jones, Kevin Klein, Justin Olsen, Derek and Darin Patnode, and Katy Jennings; five great grandchildren: Madison, Xavier, Varner, Braydon, and Avianna; a sister: Marcella Bauman; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, five sisters and by a son-in-law: Donald Frappier.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Gilbert Patnode will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 24th at St. Thomas the Apostle Church0 County Road #10 in Corcoran.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 23rd at St. Thomas Parish Center from 4-8 P.M.
