Gilbert Joseph “Gib” (Bluegill) Psyk, age 79 of St. Micheal. He was born in Monticello Township on July 22nd, 1938 the son of Joseph & Hilda (Kirscht) Psyk. He honorably served his Country in The United States Army. On September 18, 1965, Gib and Mary McGhan were joined in holy marriage. He was a former longtime employee of Honeywell. Gib was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing (especially ice fishing). He loved to fish, but the best part he liked was giving them away to people. Gib was an honorable man with many friends. Survived by children: Tina (Wayne) McCauley of Monticello and Matthew Psyk of St. Micheal; 5 grandchildren: Kayla Johnson, Hannah Psyk, Krystal Psyk, Trevor McCauley & Rebecca Psyk; 3 great grandchildren: Grace, Cora & Jack; sisters and brothers: Marlene (Jerome) Kirtz, Bernard (Irene) Psyk, Joseph (Susan) Psyk and Bonnie Munson; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his wife Mary M. Psyk on December 14, 1998, his parents and a sister Marlois Weinand. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Tuesday St. Micheal Catholic Church in St. Micheal. Visitation AT THE CHURCH Tuesday 9:00 AM until time of mass.
