Geraldine “Gerri” Mae Schumacher, age 80 of Buffalo, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017. She was born March 7, 1937 in Buffalo, the daughter of Marvin and Mildred (Prickett) Schumacher. She was baptized in the Presbyterian Church.

Gerri was a resident at the REM Home for many years. She worked at Wright County DAC and Functional Industries until retirement. She enjoyed horses, chickens, eating, shopping, and water bottles. Gerri was a loving, feisty spirited individual and never forgot a person or name.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mildred; father, Marvin Schumacher; step-father, Walt Neuman; brother, Wayne; brother-in-law, Burley Stevens; and niece, Laurie Niesen.

Gerri is survived by her siblings, Roland (Janet) Schumacher, Midge (Jerome) Niesen, Jan Stevens; her friends at the REM Home; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 at 2:00 PM, with visitation one hour prior, at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo with Pastor David Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Buffalo.
