Gerald G. “Jerry” Blowers, age 85, of Montrose passed away 10/3/2016.

Dad is happy now as he has been reunited with his long loved and much missed wife, Evon. Dad had many interests-farming and cattle, reading, trees, bees, birds, travel, politics, old tyme country music, western movies, wood working and his kids, especially his grandkids and great granddaughter-and mostly Evon. She really was his light! Mom was the the “people person” in the union and Dad was just happy to be with her, although he could talk to anyone also! We have missed her quiet spirit and gentle strength every day and will miss Dad’s strength, honesty, great smile and always talking about everything!!!

They were married 59 years and 6 days before mom passed on November 26, 2014. We are grateful to have had them for so long and will proudly carry on their legacy of Love of God, family and country.

Survived by family: Les & Clyde Dalchow, Brian Blowers, Deb & Jeff King, Andy & Jami Dalchow and Maizie, Ryan Dalchow, Aaron Dalchow; brothers: Ron & Leona Blowers and Terry & Lora Blowers; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Diane & Gary Benson, Daryl & Bonnie Lenz and Carol Blowers; nieces, nephews, treasured cousins and many friends.

    Deb, Brian & Les,
I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. He was a wonderful individual. I have fond memories of him as part of my growing up. He brought life and learning to all of us that he interacted with along the way. I know he will be missed, but there is comfort that he is reunited with the love of his life. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.

My prayers go out to all of you. I grew up as neighbors with the Blowers family and a class mate of Ron. Lora is my sister. May God bless you at this time.
