George H.Stackard, age 84, of Buffalo and formerly of Big Lake passed away at the Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Buffalo, MN.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 A.M. Wednesday St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo. A time of gathering AT THE CHURCH Wednesday morning one hour prior to Mass.
Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Buffalo, MN.
George was born in Waverly, MN on July1, 1928 to Henry & Mary (Mertz) Stackard. He graduated from Waverly HS in 1947. During his junior year, he started working for a neighboring farmer & worked there for 17 years until his asthma forced him to quit. His next job was at Advance Machines in Plymouth, MN & he worked there for 23 years until his retirement in 1990. George lived in Arizona during the winter months.
Survived by a sister: Dorothy (Harold) Hultgren of Monticello; nephew, Gordy (Terri) Hultgren of Two Harbors, MN, 2 nieces, Carol (Ron) EAstbourne of Hamel, MN & Bonnie (Dave) Gearau of Two Harbors, MN; many cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents: Henry & Mary Stackard.
