Always with a smile, continuously upbeat, interested in the world around him, and a unique laugh that set you at ease. That was the first time we met Gene and the last time we saw him. Very happy to have known him as a friend.
Dear Jean, Tal, Sara, Anna and Nick,
Our deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers for God’s comforting arms to hold and strengthen you. Gene was a kindhearted, gentle man that always had that twinkle in his eye like he had a special secret to share. We were blessed to know him and know he will be greatly missed by all. Our prayers are with all you as you share fond memories…may they bring you joy and peace. ❤️
From a former Tennant colleague:
I worked with him all of my 31 years at Tennant. I found him to be:
o Passionate. He demanded top performance of people, not only those who worked for him, but the rest of us who worked with him.
o Truthful. You always knew where he was coming from. He never put a spin on anything.
o A good feedback source. He let you know when you messed up, and when you did a good job. I always took his comments seriously.
o Humorous. He had a good sense of humor. We always had a good giggle when we had a conversation, no matter how serious the subject.
o Results oriented. He was the Assembly Manager on several new product introductions I was involved in. His focus was not only meeting the production requirements, but also on the quality and reliability goals. I remember he and I, several times, taking out the assembly line workers for dinner for meeting tough goals. He was also a champion for supporting the Problem Solving Teams (PST’s)
o Cooperative. If he agreed with you on an issue, he always had your back.
Rest in Peace Gene Kubu.
