Gene E. Hansen, age 64, of Buffalo passed away recently.
He was born in Buffalo on July 6, 1954 the son of Gordon E. & Dorothy (Bonk) Hansen.
Gene was baptized on July 18, 1954 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo. He was also instructed in the Lutheran Catechism and confirmed in the Christian faith on April 7, 1968 also at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Gene graduated from Buffalo High School in 1972. He later attended and graduated from The University of Minnesota.
He was formerly employed at The Wright County Courthouse.
Preceded in death by his parents and by an uncle Floyd Bonk.
Graveside funeral services for Gene E. Hansen will be held on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Lakeview Cemetery in Buffalo.

I am very sad to hear of Gene’s passing. I had Gene as a student and we were friends then and for many years thereafter. We played some softball together and could “shoot the breeze” with the best of them. Rest in peace!
