Gayle Harold Stroud, age 78, of rural Delano passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
He was born on February 23, 1936 in Alma, Wisconsin the son of Harold W. & Bernice (Long) Stroud.
Gayle honorably served his Country in The United States Navy for four years.
On October 29, 1960, Gayle H. Stroud and Judith A. Bastyr were joined in holy marriage at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Hopkins. God blessed their marriage with five children.
He was formerly employed as a fork lift operator at Super Valu for many years.
Gayle enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, loved to visit with people and enjoyed pulling pranks on people too!
Survived by loving wife: Judith A. Stroud; children:
Janie A. (Daniel) Holm of Buffalo, Dawn M. (Danny) Brown , Joel W. (Bekah) Stroud and Glen L. Stroud all of Annandale; fifteen grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren; daughter-in-law: Tracy Ingles; a sister: Cindy Belumus of Wisconsin; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by a son Scott G. Stroud, his parents: Harold & Bernice Stroud, six sisters and a brother.
Funeral services for Gayle Stroud will be held on Thursday, June 26th at 1:00 P.M. at Assembly of God Church in Buffalo. Pastor Bill Hicks will officiate.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th one hour prior to services at the Church.
Casket Bearers will be Brandon Stroud, Zachary Stroud, Bryant Stroud, Joshua Johnston, Trevor Jones and Dan Brown.
