Gary Myron Marquette, age 67, of rural Buffalo passed away on Friday, November 11, 2011 at his residence.

He was born on June 29, 1944 in Buffalo Township, Wright County the son of Leland “Mike” & Hattie Stoppelman Marquette.

On October 21, 1967, Gary M. Marquette and Anna L. Babatz were joined in holy marriage at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Buffalo by Pastor Berwald. God blessed their marriage with three children: Emojean, Leah and Myron.

Gary engaged in dairy farming for many years.

He enjoyed fishing especially ice fishing.

Survived by loving wife of forty four years: Anna L. Marquette; children: Emojean Marquette and fiancé Steve Porter, Leah Otto and Myron (Kelly) Marquette; five grandchildren: Cody & Nicole Otto, Gavin, Sophia and Lydia Marquette; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by son-in-law: Mike Otto in June of 2003 and by his parents.

Funeral services for Gary Marquette were held on Monday, November 14th at 11:00 A.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Pastor James Disney officiated.

Private interment Lakeview Cemetery in Buffalo.

A visitation was held on Sunday, November 13th from 4-8 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.

Casket Bearers were Myron Marquette-son, Cody Otto-grandson, Steve Frykholm-relative, Clay Prestidge-friend, Tom & Tim Stoll-nephews of Anna.
