Gary Lee Randt, of Buffalo, MN, passed away on December 26, 2022 of natural causes.

Gary, son of Harry and Ruth Randt, was born on November 11th, 1952 in Willmar, Minnesota. He was baptized on November 30th, 1952 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City, Minnesota and confirmed in his faith on April 3rd, 1966 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plato, Minnesota. Gary graduated from Glencoe Senior High School in the class of 1970.

On February 21st, 1976, Gary was united in marriage to Rebecca Doehling. Gary and Rebecca, through 46 years of marriage, were blessed with 2 children, Nathan and Alisa and 3 grandchildren, Aubrey, Jonathan, and Zachary.

Gary’s greatest joy in life was spending time with family, especially his beloved grandchildren.  Gary was full of life and always had a dad joke at the ready, even if it didn’t make sense to the adults.  Hardworking and loving, Gary also enjoyed outdoor sports, cars, woodworking and puzzles.

Gary is survived by his wife: Rebecca Randt; children: Nathan (Amy) Randt, Alisa (Ryan) Walters; grandchildren: Aubrey Walters, Jonathan and Zachary Randt; siblings: Carol Alsleben, Janice Henning, Sharon (Michael) Fox, Chuck (Linda) Randt, Jane Randt and Dave Zimmermen, Darryl Randt; sisters-in- law: Miriam Randt, Ramona Rogahn, Brenda (Charles) Zarza, Gloria Doehing, Mary (Reverend Al) Doering; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents: Harry and Ruth Randt; parents-in-law: Harold and Caroline Doehling; brothers: David Randt, Randy Randt; brothers-in-law: Aaron Alsleben, Dennis Rogahn and Larry Henning; sister-in-law: Cindy Randt

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022 beginning at 9:30 A.M. until time of service at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo, Minnesota.

A funeral service for Gary Lee Randt will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo, Minnesota.

Pastor Ryan Clark will officiate.

Honorary Casket Bearers are Gary’s grandchildren: Aubrey Walters, Jonathan and Zachary Randt.

Casket Bearers are Matthew Randt (nephew), Josh Randt (nephew), Darron Alselben (nephew), Jeremy Parpart (nephew), Stacy Petersen (niece), Ryan Walters (son-in-law) and Nathan Randt.

Interment will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Buffalo, Minnesota.

    Oh Becky and kids, we are so very sorry to hear about Gary! We have had a lot of great times together and one I remember when Gary brought the whole tray of brownies to our table at our Company Christmas party! He was always so joyful and happy!
