Visitation Information

Franklin Floyd Lindstrom, 81, of St. Michael, MN (formerly of Luverne) passed away peacefully on Oct. 1, 2014.

Frank was born on February 17, 1933 to Eldon W. and Ruth (Pierce) Lindstrom at Webster City, Iowa. He grew up in the Algona area and was baptized and confirmed at the Livermore Methodist Church. In 1951 Frank graduated from the Livermore, Iowa High School and then spent the next four years serving his country in the U.S. Navy as a radioman. Sixteen of these months were served on the USS Kyes off the shores of Korea followed by two years at Pearl Harbor. He was very proud of his service and was a life member of VFW Post #2757.

On July 1, 1956 Frank was united in marriage to the love of his life, Lois Guritz at the First Presbyterian Church in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Frank went on to become a High School business teacher and a successful Coach, followed by 30 years as a pharmaceutical representative for Boehringer Ingelheim.

Frank is survived by his wife Lois, sons Steven (Sheryl) and John (Sheila), sister Diane Troutman of Manchester, Iowa, sister-in Law Arlene Wells, brother-in-Law Ray (Jane) Guritz, grandchildren Sara, Robert, Taylor, Rebecca, Sam, and Faith, great-grandchildren Cameron, Carissa, Christian and Jackson along with step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their families.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, grand-daughter Jolene and brother-in-law Joe Troutman.

A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Luverne, MN on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 1:30pm.

Interment will be held at a later time at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
