Francis J. Roetzler passed away at his home on June 28, 2018. He is the son of the late Francis H. and Leocadia “Laura” (Antczak) Roetzler. He was born March 15, 1932 in Milwaukee WI, grew up in Mankato MN, and graduated from Loyola High School. He was in the Army for two years in Germany. He always considered it a privilege to have attended and received a Mechanical Engineering Degree at the University of Minnesota (1959) and to have worked at Honeywell his entire career (30 years).
In 1959, he married Barbara (Piehl) Roetzler and bought a small farm in Buffalo. He was a man of strong traditional faith, a moral guidance to his family, had a curious mind, and many interests.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, brother, Anthony of Rochester, MN; children, Denise (Dave) Casey of Buffalo, Steve of Arlington, TX, Joanne (Chris) Vorsten of Austin, TX, Daniel (Robin) of Maple Lake, Patricia (Vic) Thiedek of Maple Grove, and David (friend Laura) of Montrose; grandchildren, Michael, John and Christopher Vorsten, Andrei and Kemil Casey, Jared, Jenae and Lauren Roetzler, and Lee and Jesse Thiedek.
Visitation Monday, July 2, 2018 at Peterson Funeral Home, 119 Central Ave, Buffalo from 4 to 8 PM, with a Rosary at 7 PM.
Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, 313 28th Ave N, St Cloud on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 10 AM, and burial at St Francis Cemetery, Buffalo.
