Everett Jerome Hollenbeck, age 90 of Buffalo, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021. He was born March 14, 1930 in Monticello, the son of Harry and Mabel (Beckley) Hollenbeck.
Everett was a proud Navy Veteran and a member of the Buffalo American Legion Post 270.
On June 18, 1960, Everett Hollenbeck and Phyllis Wagner were united in marriage at Bethlehem United Church of Christ in Maple Lake.
He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, and spending winters in Mexico with his wife Phyllis. He was a dedicated Minnesota Vikings fan and enjoyed watching all football games. Everett sometimes had a feisty personality, but was very kind and always there to help others. Everett and Phyllis loved socializing with friends and family, having an “open door” policy at home to welcome anyone and everyone!
He is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Hollenbeck; parents, Harry and Mabel Hollenbeck; and siblings, Harriet, Lorraine, Ralph and Orville.
Everett is survived by his daughter, Deborah Pohlkamp; grandson, David (Betty) Pohlkamp; great-grandson, Derek Pohlkamp; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 7, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior, at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo. Burial will follow at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Those who are only attending the visitation in Trinity Hall from 10 AM, and not attending the funeral, do not need to sign up, but will need to provide a name and contact information at the door.
