Evelyn O. Mosher, age 94 of Buffalo, MN passed away peacefully from this life on December 15, 2013 at her home. Funeral service on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Buffalo United Methodist Church, Buffalo, MN. Visitation from 1:30 – 3:00 PM at the church on Saturday. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, Rockford, MN.
Evelyn was born on March 18, 1919 in Maple Lake Township, Wright County, to Richard & Paula (Sieg) Hoffman. She was baptized & confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran church in Buffalo. On February 26, 1938 Evelyn was united in marriage to Fred Loren Mosher at the United Methodist Church in Buffalo. They farmed in Rockford Township, Wright County on Fred’s home place & raised their two sons & five daughters. Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother & homemaker. She worked hard on the farm, milking cows, tending to the chickens & ducks, gardening, canning, baking & sewing. She enjoyed photography & always kept a journal. She was very interested in family history. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family & friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred Mosher in 1993, four great-grandchildren, brother & sister in law, Erwin & Edith Hoffman, sister & brother-in-law, Virginia & Henry Sullivan, sisters & brothers-in-law, Florence & George Ordorff & Edna & Edward Liefert, brother-in-law, Chris Niesen.
Evelyn is survived by children, Sharon (Hubert) Vassar of Hopkins, MN, Janice Mosher of Minneapolis, MN, Marilyn (Robert) Beck of Buffalo, MN. , Lyle Mosher of Buffalo, MN. Kathleen (Larry) Kautz of Cokato, MN. Fred (Sandra) Mosher of Buffalo, MN, Pamela (Steven) Des Marais of Buffalo, MN; 25 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sister, Laura Niesen; brother, Ronald (June) Hoffman & many other relatives.
