Evelyn Josephine Thiel, age 101, of Buffalo and formerly of Belle Plaine passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Park View Care Center in Buffalo.
She was born on July 22nd, 1916 in Jordan, Minnesota the daughter of John & Augusta (Halgren) Thiel.
Evelyn was a lifelong resident of Belle Plaine, Baptized at the Episcopal Church of Jordan, MN.
She was a hard worker on the farm, caring for her many family members.
Evelyn’s love for cat’s gave her much enjoyment in life.
Survived by a loving niece: Gloriane Oldin Stocke Kobbe of Buffalo; four great nieces: Julie Stocke Albrecht, Gayle Stocke Miller, Barbara Stocke Dammann and Paula Stocke Meister.
Preceded in death by her parents, a sister Florence Thiel Oldin (Helge Oldin) and by two brothers Walter Thiel and Edward Thiel.
A graveside service for Evelyn Thiel will be held on Thursday, January 4th, 2018 at 12 Noon at Spirit Hill Cemetery in Jordan, Minnesota.
