Eunie H. Benson passed away at Mercy Hospital on May 15, 2015 at the age of 85. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Grace Ackley, husband of 47 years, William Benson, and foster daughter Deanna (Dede) Stevens.

Eunie married Bill Benson in October of 1965. the couple moved to Rockford, MN in 1972. Eunie and Bill were owners and operators of Bill’s Shoe Repair in Delano, MN for 28 years. Eunie was a loving daycare provider. the children she cared for “Were her kids too.” They remained an important part of her life. Eunie also opened her heart and home to many foster children. She was a Pioneer Girl leader at Cross Lutheran Church in Rockford, MN. She was able to share her love for nature on camping trips, her creativity with crafts and her friendship with smiles and encouragement.

Eunie and Bill retired and moved to Big Fork, MN. They enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, gardening and the quiet. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Marble, MN>

Her generous, fun loving spirit and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her.
