After over 84 years of earthly life Gene went home to be with his Lord and Savior to spend eternity with Jesus, where he will have no less days to sing His praise then when he first began. Gene is survived by his wife of over 62 years, Karen L. Sprinkel (nee Hagberg), four children and spouses; Jeff & Gayle, Todd & Molly, Kara & Ben (Nelson), Chad & Tanya, and twelve grandchildren, who will miss him dearly as he prayed daily for our progress and joy in the faith. Gene would have loved to have had his friends come gather together to celebrate his home going but during these days he will instead be buried at a private graveside ceremony at Swedish Mission Cemetery in Buffalo, attended by those for whom he was most concerned about the outcome of their faith. To God be the Glory!

I well remember Gene Sprinkel. He was a staple of athletic and youth activities at Bethlehem Baptist Church during my own youth years at Bethlehem. Always intense but always kind and gracious and his love for the Lord and for others was always apparent. Sorry to hear of his passing. Another page torn from my own life story. Rest in the arms of our Lord, Gene.

I have fond memories of Gene . . . his fun-loving attitude and smile, always friendly, and his strong love for the Lord. Funny memory that some of us in the youth group had was of times when he was the Camp Director at Trout Lake during our week there. Curfew time was serious business under his supervision! My life is richer for having known him. I am sorry for the loss his family is going through, but rejoice that he is with Jesus!

I remember when we taught Sunday School together at Bethlehem Baptist Church. I taught the girls and Gene taught the boys. He was multi-talented and such a bright light to all who knew him. What a blessing to recall wonderful memories of this dear man and his precious wife Karen and also your mom. Bethlehem brings so many memories–sweeter as the days go by. Blessings on your family. With love and prayers,

Heidi and I can only begin to say how grateful we are for Gene and Karen and their constant love and prayer support for us as we transitioned from Wisconsin to Florida. Gene was always ready with an encouraging word that pointed us to Christ. Now we celebrate the unshakable truth that Gene is with Him in glory!
