Esther Kessler, 88, of St. Michael passed away on Sunday, July 20th 2014 at her home.
Esther Zachman was born on June 8th 1926, the first child of Otto and Martha Zachman.
On November 11th 1947, Esther married Francis Dale Kessler at the Church of St. Michael. God blessed their marriage with fifteen children, forty-two grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.

Further survived by brother and sister: Anita Kolles; Elva Weber; Earl Zachman, Marian Meyer, Jeanette Fricke, Alice Kelly, and sister-in-law Eleanor Zachman. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Dale Kessler; daughter, Jennifer Kessler; son-in-law, Neil Luhman; grandson, Justin Kolles; great-grandson, Noah Hofmeister, and brother, Vernette Zachman.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Esther Kessler was held on Thursday, July 24th 2014 at The St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael, Minnesota. Celebrant for the Mass was Father Peter Richards. Interment followed at The St. Michael Cemetery.
A visitation was held on Wednesday, July 23rd, 2014 from 4-8 P.M. at The St. Michael Catholic Church. A Prayer service was held at 7:30 P.M. Further visitation was held on Thursday morning, July 24th at the church one hour prior to Mass.
Casket Bearers were Stephanie Dahlheimer, Abraham Hofmeister, Derek Brant, Riley Kessler, Todd Kessler, Dexter Kolles, Gavin Dick and Taylor Kessler.
So sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. She was such a wonderful caring person and so kind to everyone she met. She will be missed.

So sorry to hear of the loss of Esther. She was a wonderful woman! I so enjoyed seeing and visiting with her at her grandchildren’s activities. She always had a smile! She was so sweet. I know you will cherish your fond memories!! My sympathy to all her family.

Our sympathies to all of you in the loss of a great lady. I bowled with Esther up until she retired from it a few years ago & she was a joy to all of us, always a smile & word of encouragement to everyone. I am sorry we cannot be there for her service but she will be in our thoughts & prayers on Thursday.

I am so sorry to hear of your family’s loss. I just found out. Esther has always had a special place in my heart. She was one of the sweetest people that I have known. I always enjoyed bowling with her in the Tuesday morning bowling league.
