Elva Mae Landgraf, age 90, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Park View Nursing Center in Buffalo, MN. She was born near Grove Lake, MN on January 20, 1922. She lived on the family farm until she was united in marriage to Philip Landgraf on October 12, 1941. They made their home in Paynesville, MN until 1955, when they moved to Starbuck , MN. They resided there until 2008. She was active in the community and at Fron Lutheran Church. She was a Master Gardener and was well known for her vegetable and flower gardens.
She is survived by her children: Suzanne Magnuson of Watertown, MN; Gary (Linda) Landgraf of Moorhead, MN; and Janet (James) Axtell of Nisswa, MN; grandchildren, John (Gina) Magnuson, Tim (Sarah) Magnuson, Eric (Aiko) Landgraf, and Rachel (Luke) Kusilek; great grandchildren, Liliana and Ryker Magnuson and Ashley Landgraf; sister-in-law, Marjorie Landgraf of Hudson, FL, and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by Philip, her husband of 69 years; son–in–law, Larry Magnuson; her parents, Ernest and Isabella (Irving) Cook; her sisters and brother in laws: Estella (Henry) Franz, Olive (Elwood) Thompson, Idella (Tom) Moyer; brother Fay Cook and other friends and relatives.
A celebration of life service will be held in the Chapel at Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck on July 27, 2012 at 11:00 A.M.
