Elnor V. Doherty, age 90 of Buffalo passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2013.

She was born on April 2, 1923 in Albion Center, MN. the daughter of Ernest and Emma (Bonnick) Eggersgluss.

Elnor was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith.

Elnor graduated from Buffalo High School in 1942.

Elnor V. Eggersgluss married the love of her life, Francis Doherty on April 12, 1945 in Pomona, CA, while Francis was stationed in the U.S. Army. They returned to Buffalo and God blessed them with three children: Bill, Judy and Cathy.

She worked at Wonderall’s, Wright Co. Poultry, Buffalo Dry Cleaners and Ebenezer Home.

Elnor has been a faithful member of St. John’s Evangelical Church in Buffalo for over forty years.

She lived God’s word. She loved to travel, sew, do embroidery work, bake and spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She and her husband also enjoyed thirty one years at their mobile home
located on Lake Mille Lacs, fishing, relaxing and just visiting with the neighbors.

Survived by her loving husband of sixty-nine years: Francis
Doherty; son: Bill (Karen) Doherty of Waverly, MN; a daughter: Judy (Jeff) Schwietering of Monticello, MN; a daughter: Cathy (Tom) Jorgenson of Buffalo, MN; a brother: Melvin (Marilyn) Eggersgluss of Buffalo, MN; grandchildren: Jody (Mike) Brings, Buffalo, MN; Josh (Jolene) Schwietering, Elk River, MN; Jake (Kari) Schwietering, St. Louis Park, MN; Darby (Kari) Jorgenson, Buffalo, MN and Kari (Todd) Peter, Cokato, MN; thirteen great grandchildren: Wyatt, Luke and Nate Brings, William and Nate Schwietering, Chloe and Nadia Schwietering, Ella and Weston Jorgenson, Taylor, Julia, Marlie and Reese Peter; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, Ernst and Emma Eggersgluss; a brother Ralph Eggersgluss; beloved nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services for Elnor Doherty will be held on Saturday, November 23rd at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo.

Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Saturday morning, November 23rd from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the church.

Casket Bearers will be Darby Jorgenson, Josh Schwietering, Jake Schwietering,Mike Brings, Todd Peter and Wyatt Brings.
