Visitation Information
Ellen Marie Torkelson, age 67, of Princeton, Minnesota and formerly of Willmar died Friday, September 19, 2008 at The Fairview- Northland Hospital in Princeton.
She was born on February 10, 1941 in Hawick, Minnesota the daughter of Leonard & Barbara Tjernagel Anderson.
Ellen enjoyed her grandchildren, puzzles, crafts, baking and she also loved to garden.
Survived by her three loving daughters: Joyce Althoff of St. Michael, Kimberly (Todd) Trustheim of Brooten and Lois Torkelson of Buffalo; four grandchildren: Brett Althoff, Shaye Althoff, Austin Trustheim and Ashley Trustheim; sisters & brothers: Bernice Metcalf of Brooklyn Park, Alice Christenson of New London,
Lars (Walda) Anderson of Belgrade, Robert (Helen) Anderson of New London and Rudy (Inez) Anderson of Brooklyn Park; three sisters-in-law: Karen Anderson of Pennock, Annie Anderson of Belgrade and Carrie Gravely of New London; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, four sisters, two infant grandsons and by a son-in-law: Joel L. Althoff on September 27, 1998.
Funeral services for Ellen Torkelson will be held on Monday, September 22nd at 2:00 P.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hanover. Pastor Gorden Estenson will officiate. Interment follows at Nordland Lutheran Cemetery in Paynesville at 5:00 P.M.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 22nd one hour prior to services at the church.
Honorary Casket Bearers are grandchildren: Brett Althoff, Shaye Althoff, Austin Trustheim and Ashley Trustheim.

My deepest sympathy in the loss of your mother. I have many memories of Toots and the times that our families would spend together while you lived in Pennock. Please know that there are many family members who share in your sorrow, and are praying for each of you.
