Ellen M. Point, age 92, of Buffalo passed away on Sunday, August 30th, 2020 at The Park View Care Center.
Ellen was born in Minneapolis on April 2, 1928 the daughter of J.R. and Mary Ellen (Montgomery) Campbell. At the age of 10 she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. Ellen graduated High School in 1946 at Buffalo High School. She went on to Wheaton College and graduated in 1950. Ellen taught Home Economics in Jackson and Monticello Minnesota. Ellen joined her father at Campbell Abstract and took over the family business in 1964.
On June 29, 1957, Ellen M. Campbell and Lloyd K. Point were joined in holy marriage at The Buffalo Presbyterian Church. Their marriage was blessed with three children Delbert, Mary Jo and Russell.
She was a longtime member of The Buffalo Presbyterian Church, P.E.O. ,Christian Women and The Red Hat Society.
Ellen is survived by her loving children: Delbert (Gail) Point of Waterville, Mary Jo (E.G.) Smith of Kingston Springs, Tennessee and Russell (Karen) Point of Buffalo; six grandchildren: Charles (Dana) Smith, Russell Smith and Elliot Smith; Kandace Point, Joseph (Megan) Point and Erickson Point; a great grandchild: Ira Joseph Point, sister-in-law Ruth Zinter and other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd, her brother Roy and sister-in-law Merle Campbell and brother-in-law Donald Zinter.
Funeral Services for Ellen M. Point will be held on Thursday, September 10th, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Buffalo Evangelical Covenant Church. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Buffalo.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 9th at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo from 4-8 P.M. Further visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10th one hour prior to services AT THE CHURCH.
Casket Bearers will be Elliot Smith-grandson, Joe Point-grandson, Erickson Point-grandson, Doug Block-longtime family friend, Steve Markve-longtime family friend and Dave Spike-longtime family friend.

Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of a wonderful lady. She was a special person who cared about her family and the Buffalo community. I fondly remember her support of Buffalo Christian Women’s Club by donating paper and printing costs for our monthly programs and contributing generously to the club’s annual Silent Auction. As a Patron and Advertiser, she helped Buffalo Community Theater thrive. Her gifts of charity will not be forgotten. As child of God, you can be assured, she is now at home with the Father. My condolences to the family. Ellen was a very special love who I love and adore. I would come up and play the game Farkle with some other residents. She looked forward every week to playing and to homemade treats that we would bring. I will miss you Ellen! Rest In Peace my dear friend!
