Ella Ida (Niesen, Vetsch) Zachman, age 105, of St. Michael, MN passed away on Wednesday, May 19th, 2010 at Lake Ridge Care Center in Buffalo, MN.

Ella was born on October 29th, 1904 in Frankfort Township, MN the daughter of William and Eva (Dedrick) Weese.

Ella is survived by her loving family: children, Clifford (Dena)Niesen of Bloomington, MN, Nicholas Niesen of Zim, MN; 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by many other relatives including her loving step-children and step-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by son, Harold Niesen; parents, William and Eva Weese; husbands, Mike Niesen who died in 1956, Clem Vetsch who died in 1959 and Isadore Zachman who died in 1973; brothers, Louis and Walter Weese; sisters, Mabel Elletson and Irene Ebert.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Lake Ridge Care Center, Buffalo.

Mass of Christian Burial held Wednesday, May 26th, 2010, 2:00 P.M., at St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael, MN.

Visitation held Tuesday at The Peterson Chapel in St. Michael from 6-8 P.M. also one hour prior to Mass at Church.

Interment is at the St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to the Historic St. Michael Catholic Church Preservation Fund or to Lake Ridge Care Center in Buffalo, MN.

    I am sorry for your loss. Ella was such a special lady. I worked at Lake Ridge several years ago. Ella taught me to knit when she was around 99.

    Sorry for your loss. God left Ella on this Earth for this long for a reason. I was a rehab patient at Lake Ridge and had her for a neighbor in 2005, and I was just amazed at how knowledgeable she was. God Bless.
