Eleanor Ruth Becker, age 87 of Buffalo and formerly of St. Michael passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016.
She was born on January 17, 1929 in St. Michael the daughter of Meinrad “Boy” & Catherine “Kate” (Schmitz) Daleiden.
On June 14, 1949, Eleanor R. Daleiden & Leander A. Becker were joined in holy marriage at the Church of St. Michael in St. Michael. God blessed their marriage with eight children. Together, Eleanor and Leander operated a dairy farm in Otsego for many years.
She was a lifelong member of The Church of St. Michael in St. Michael where she was the chairperson of its funeral lunch committee.
Eleanor also belonged to the C.C.W. and American Legion Post # 567’s Auxiliary.
Survived by her children: Douglas (Connie) Becker of Albertville, Mary Kay Lubke of Buffalo, Anna Mae (Michael) Vollbrecht of Albertville, Elizabeth (Brian) Lambert of Monticello, Donna (Paul) Barthel and Susan (Robert) Milless all of St. Michael; daughter in law: Lynell Becker of Albertville; twenty two grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Cliff (Marcella) Daleiden, Evelyn Beaudry, Verna (John) Feeney, Billy (Betty) Daleiden and Meiny (Mona) Daleiden; sister in law: Donna Mae Daleiden; many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband Leander Becker, sons Richard Becker and David Becker, son in law Bruce Lubke, two grandchildren, two sisters Martina Beaudry and Armella Schumacher and by a brother Melvin Daleiden.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Eleanor Becker will be held on Tuesday, May 24th at 11:30 A.M. at The Church of St. Michael in St. Michael. Father Peter Richards will be the Celebrant. Interment will follow St. Michael Cemetery. Readers will be Kate Milkowski and Tony Bartholomew. Petitions by Evan Becker.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 23rd from 4-8 P.M. at the church. Further visitation will be held on Tuesday morning, May 24th one hour prior to Mass.
Casket Bearers will be Emily Beach, Eric Vollbrecht, Jason Becker, Tony Bartholomew, Matt Becker and Nick Barthel.
