Visitation Information

Eldon (“Al”) H. Anderson, age 84, of Rogers passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2009, at his home after a five-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded by his family who adored him and who will miss him tremendously.

He was born on April 16, 1925 in Milaca, Minnesota, the son of Arvid & Tilda (Johnson) Anderson.

On January 11, 1947, Al married the love of his life, Phyllis M. Dieringer. They were blessed with one daughter, Carol. The couple lived most of their married life in Brooklyn Park. In 1997, they moved to Rogers.

Al was plant superintendent at Roberts Automatic Products, Inc. and was also employed for over 30 years at Northwest Automatic Products, Inc.

He enjoyed fishing, reading, old-time dancing, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. His greatest joy were his twin nine-year old granddaughters whom he cherished.

Al touched many lives by his actions and those who knew him will greatly miss him

Al was a member of Word of Peace Lutheran Church in Rogers.

Survived by his loving daughter: Carol (Joe) Brenny of St. Michael; granddaughters: Annie & Molly Brenny of St. Michael; special family (like a son), Jim (Anna) Metcalf and their sons Dean & Dustin all of Champlin; brothers: Melvin Anderson and Roy (Shirley) Anderson; Sisters: Ruthie (Mike) Carlson and “Toots” Davis; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 1/2 years: Phyllis M. Anderson, brothers: Jim & Chuck Anderson and by a sister: Irene Eggert.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd from 4-8 P.M. at the Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 23rd at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one-hour prior at Word of Peace Lutheran Church in Rogers.

Interment, Forest Hills Cemetery in Milaca.

The Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home served the family.
