Visitation Information

Elda M. Lenneman, age 76, of St. Michael passed away on Friday, June 5, 2009 at The Buffalo Hospital. She was born on January 10, 1933 in Albertville the daughter of Alphonse P. & Mary Barthel Vetsch. On November 10, 1951, Elda was joined in holy marriage to Allen A. Lenneman at The Church of St. Albert in Albertville. God blessed their marriage with seven children. Elda and Allen farmed near St. Michael where she was a homemaker and raised their family. In 1987, Elda and Allen retired and they moved into town. She was an active and faithful member of The Church of St. Michael in St. Michael. Elda enjoyed gardening, bird watching, card playing, traveling and entertaining. She especially was fond of spending time with family and friends. Elda loved flowers, especially roses which came from her profound devotion to Saint Therese (“the little flower”). Survived by loving husband, Allen A. Lenneman; children, Greg (Denise) Lenneman of St. Michael, Theresa (Gordy) Berning of Albertville, Eugene (Julie) Lenneman, Barb (Brian) Dalbec, Wayne (Deanna) Lenneman and Brian (Angela) Lenneman, all of St. Michael; a son-in-law, Keith Antil of South Haven; twenty five grandchildren, five great- grandchildren,many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, a daughter: Mary Antil and a brother: Raymond Vetsch.

The Lenneman family wishes to express their gratitude for your kindness during Elda’s journey. In lieu of sending acknowledgment cards an extra contribution will be given to The St. Michael Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, June 9th at The Church of St. Michael in St. Michael. Visitation AT THE CHURCH on Monday, June 8th from 4-8 PM, prayer service 7:30 PM. Further visitation will also be held at the church on Tuesday, June 9th one hour prior to Mass.

    Dear Alan and family, We are in Alberta, Canada on our way to Alaska, with
    Butch and Nealie Dixon. We brought this up on the Peterson Chapel Web site, and want to extend our sincere sympathy. We would have been there to offer our sympathy had we been home.
