Elaine Dorothy Klatt, age 84, of Buffalo passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Sunrise Cottages.
She was born on April 28, 1928 in Hamel the daughter of Christoph & Bertha Tessmer Deisting.
Elaine was baptized on May 27, 1928 at Salem Lutheran Church in Greenwood/Greenfield by Reverend W. P. Haar. She was also instructed in the Lutheran catechism and confirmed in the Christian faith on April 6, 1941 at Salem Lutheran Church by Reverend W. P. Haar.
On August 23, 1950, Elaine D. Deisting and Adolph Richard Klatt were joined in holy marriage at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenwood/Greenfield. Reverend W.P. Haar performed the wedding ceremony. God blessed their marriage with three sons: Arvid, David and Harold.
Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a faithful member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church-Pelican Lake and its Ladies Aid.
Survived by her three sons & daughters-in-law: Arvid (Lori) Klatt, David (Becky) Klatt and Harold “Harry” (Debbie) Klatt all of Buffalo; grandchildren: Robert & Kristina; Korey, Krista & Cassandra; Michelle, Danielle and Derek; great grandchildren; brothers & sisters-in-law: Carl (Betty) Deisting and Robert (Dolores) Deisting, Phyllis Deisting and Dorothy Weeks; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband: Adolph Richard Klatt on August 16, 1999, her parents, infant brothers: Herbert and Ervin, brothers: Walter and Albert Deisting and by a sister: Leona Klatt.
Funeral services for Elaine Klatt will be held on Wednesday, March 13th, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church-Pelican Lake. Reverend Stephen A. Smith will officiate.
Interment will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
David Farstad will be the organist. Congregational hymns will be “Precious Lord, Take My Hand”, “How Great Thou Art”, I’m But a Stranger Here” and “My God, Accept My Heart This Day”.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 12th from 5-8 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. A Prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Further visitation will be held on Wednesday afternoon, March 13th one hour prior to services at the church.
Casket Bearers will be Elaine’s grandchildren: Robert Klatt, Kristina Klatt, Korey Klatt, Krista (Klatt) Sahlin , Cassandra (Klatt) Arnold, Michelle Klatt, Danielle (Klatt) Stein and Derek Klatt.
