Eino Hyttinen, age 82, of Buffalo passed away suddenly in the early morning of April 23, 2013 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

He was born on September 23, 1930 in Kelsey, MN the son of Henry and Katie (Sappanen) Hyttinen.

Eino enlisted in the US Air Force and was stationed in Libya during the Korean War.

On May 19, 1956, Eino Hyttinen and Emma Swenson were married in Floodwood, MN. Their marriage was blessed with four children.

Eino loved hunting, fishing and nature. He also enjoyed music and playing the accordion.

He is survived by his wife Emma, children Darrell Hyttinen (special friend Becky Meyers), Donna Hyttinen (David Prather), Debra (Darryl) Jones, daughter-in-law Karen Point (Russel Point), 8 grandchildren, brother Archie (Jean) Hyttinen, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son Duane, brothers Toivo, Leonard and Johnny, sisters, Tynni and Anni.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 3:30 PM at Lake Ridge Care Center in Buffalo.

A time of gathering will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 2:30 PM until the time of services at 3:30 PM at Lake Ridge Care Center.

Arrangements for Eino Hyttinen are by The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.

    Deepest sympathies at this difficult time for the whole family. It was an amazing honor to been able to help take care of Eino and Emma while residing at Lake Ridge Care Center. Eino is now resting in the comfort of God’s love and enjoying strawberries! Prayers for all.

    I did not know of Eino’s passing…until today. Some of my fondest memories as a kid were at the Hyttinen Household growing up.
