Eileen Adeline Solseth, a resident of Centennial Villa Assisted Living of Annandale, Minnesota, went to be with her Savior on Sunday, December 28, 2014, at the age of 89.

She was born March 6, 1925 in Newton, Iowa, the daughter of Allan and Elvina (Gunderson) Miller.
Eileen trained as a nurse during the last part of World War II and, while in training, met her husband-to-be. Eileen married James Orville Solseth on July 18, 1944, in Wolf Point, Montana. Their marriage was blessed with three children: Larry James, Linda Faye, and Timothy Allan. She raised her children, along with foster children for a time, and made a home for her family wherever life took them. Eileen was devoted to Jesus and strove to show His love to all who entered her home.

She is survived by: her sister Margaret (Jim) Davis, brother Raymond Miller; her children Larry (Kathy) Solseth of Fargo, North Dakota, and Linda French of Two Harbors, Minnesota; grandchildren Melissa (Michael) Lynnes, Nathan (Allison) Solseth, Christopher (Betsy) Byler; great-grandchildren Zachary, Becca, Libby, Addie, Amber-Skie, and Jade-River; other relatives and friends.

Eileen is preceded in death by her parents, sister Bernice, brother Claude, husband Jim, and son Timothy.

Funeral services for Eileen Solseth will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 3rd at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo, Minnesota.

Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

A private interment ceremony with family will follow.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Eileen’s name to Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare, 183 University Avenue East, St. Paul, Minnesota 55101.

We extend our sympathy to Eileen’s family. Although we do not know you personally, we know that Eileen loved you and prayed for you daily. She was a wonderful pray warrior. Because of her love for Jesus, and her strong faith, she helped us us grow in our faith as well. May her love for Christ impact your lives and leave you with precious memories.
