Eileen Leona (Maehren) Arnold was born in Avon, Minnesota on Oct. 9, 1930, to Herman and Anna Maehren. Eileen and her twin sister, Elaine, were their parent’s 12th and 13th children.

Eileen passed away on Oct. 20, 2022 at Quiet Oaks Hospice in St. Augusta, MN at the age of 92.

She married Harold Arnold on Nov. 5, 1955, and together they had four children, nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She has joined Harold in heaven after 39 years apart.

Eileen loved to knit socks for her family and enjoyed collecting their memories in scrapbooks.  She also loved to cook — her children’s favorite meal was chicken wings and potato salad, while the grandchildren always requested hamburger rice hot dish and jello.

Eileen was a devoted Catholic. She also loved spending time with her family doing jigsaw puzzles and playing games together, like Kings Corners and Sequence. Always up for anything, she loved going on mother-daughter trips and spending time at the lake with her grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed.

I’m so sad I can’t be there for you Sue, but you are all in my thoughts and prayers! I only met your mother a few times and she was so fun and sweet. I know how much she’ll be missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was very kind and welcoming to me when we visited her for a shopping trip to Mall of America. I had the pleasure of spending time with her at other times when she visited you in Utah. May she Rest In Peace and May your memories bring you comfort. My Thoughts and prayers are with you.
