Visitation Information

Eileen E. Herrala, age 88, of Buffalo, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, October 23rd, 2009.
She was born in Towner County, rural Rolla, North Dakota on July 5, 1921, the daughter of Charles & Olga Carlson Juntunen.
On November 23, 1943, Eileen E. Juntunen & Andrew D. Herrala were joined in holy marriage at her home near Rolla, North Dakota.
Eileen & Andrew lived in the Seattle, Washington, area for many years. He preceded her in death. In 1992, Eileen moved to Plymouth, Minnesota, and since August of 2007, she has resided with her son in Buffalo, Minnesota.
She was a faithful member of The Rockford Laestadian Lutheran Church and formerly belonged to The Minneapolis Laestadian Lutheran Church.
Survived by a son: Randy (Noella) Herrala; five grandsons: David (Kara) Herrala, Bruce (Brigitte) Herrala, Brent, Paul and Dain Herrala; eight granddaughters: Lynette (Jeremy) Glynn, Amy (Marcus) Landa, Marleigh (Sam) Roiko, Rita (Bruce) Keranen, Carolyn (Steven) Landa, Anna (Justin) Hall, Laura (Keith) Laho, and Kathleen Herrala; forty-three great grandchildren; six siblings: Reno (Marian) Juntunen, Hazel Koistinen, Carlo Juntunen, Melvin (Betty) Juntunen, Helen (Gerald) Halvorson, and Dale (Linda) Juntunen; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Eileen was preceded in death by two stillborn children, her parents, and three brothers: Roy, Clarence & Fred Juntunen.
Funeral services for Eileen Herrala will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 29th at The Rockford Laestadian Lutheran Church. Officiant will be Jouko Haapsaari. Organists will be Cheryl Kumpula & Ian Hendrickson. Interment Floral Hills Cemetery in Lynnwood, Washington.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th from 5-8:30 P.M. AT THE CHURCH, Service 7:00 P.M. with Ray Waaraniemi officiating.
Further visitation Thursday morning, October 29th, at the church one hour prior to funeral services.

    Randy,Noella And Families,- Mark and I wanted to let you know that we have been thinking about you guys alot during these last few hard days with the loss of your dear mother, grandmother, and great gradmother . I remember when we lived in Buffalo, us kids would come over and visit alot and Eileen would sometimes be there, more often than not. She sure was a sweet dear lady and will be missed.
