Edwin A Crosbie PhD, age 90, Born in Washington, PA in 1921. Served in WW II as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Marine Corps stationed in the South Pacific.
In Ed’s early life he was an educator at the University of Pittsburgh and earned a PhD in Physics in 1952.
Ed was offered a Physicist position at Argonne Labs in Lemont Illinois and authored numerous papers and was one of the major developers of the Advanced Photon Source at Argonne. He retired after working at the lab for 50 years.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife Helen whom he married after dating for two months. Father Francis and Mother Esther (Susie) Johnson Crosbie.
Loving father of Stephen (Sue) and Richard (Joyce) Crosbie. Grandfather to Benjamin (Bethany) and Jena Crosbie. Great Grandfather of Hannah and Sam.
Fond brother of Dick (Joyce) Crosbie and Uncle to Scott and Jill. Fond Friend of Barbara Williams.

Ed loved to play piano, tennis and was a baseball fan especially the Chicago Cubs.
A memorial service will be held Saturday December 3rd 2:00 p.m. at Sunrise Assisted Living, located at 201 1st Street, Buffalo MN 55313.
Memorials can be made to the charity of your choice in honor of Ed or a donation to Sunrise of Buffalo, MN.
