Edward Emil Vadnais, age 88, of Buffalo, left us to be with our Lord on November 27, 2014. Ed was born May 27, 1926 in Chassell, Michigan. He is survived by his wife and true love of 60 years, Edna; daughters, Ellamae (Bill) Tuffs, Eloise (Bill) Vadnais, Elaine (Steve) Lucht, Marilyn (Mark) Barrett, Sandy (David) Jukkala, DeeDee (Robert) Whipple; son, James (Lori) Grimes; grandchildren, Tim (Jody) Tuffs, Cheri (Ross) Romkema, Tamara (Jeff) Hanson, Jennifer (Dustin) Schumacher, Julie Grimes, Tanya (Justin) Harms, Sarah (Bryan) Shattuck, Hannah (Nick) Trombley, Ben Barrett, Seth Barrett, Mathew (Jessica) Jukkala, Jason Jukkala, Darleen (Paul) Jenson; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Emil Vadnais and mother, Irene (Adams) Vadnais.
Ed served his country in World War II. He fought the Battle of the Bulge and later was promoted to Corporal. Edna and Ed were married June 12, 1954. Ed worked as a foreman at Bishman’s in Osseo. He was a dedicated volunteer at church, a devoted husband, had a passion for fishing, cross country road trips, and most of all his family. Ed will be most remembered for his sense of humor, strength of character, intelligence and his perseverance. He will be sorely missed by all. Funeral service Monday, December 1, 2014, 11:00 AM at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 1705 Hwy 25 N, Buffalo, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
